5 Benefits of Meditation

We have been advocating a journey towards meditation to create mindfulness. It is a proven path towards recovery from depression. There would be great benefits for making meditation a part of your life. It is known to decrease stress, improved concentration, lower blood pressure, and reduce symptoms of anxiety and depression.

Many famous politicians and celebrities have also used meditation to lead a more focused and balanced life. They have recovered from the many obstacles they faced by adopting a lifestyle infused with meditation.

In this blog post, I will be touching on 5 Benefits of Meditation and hope it will encourage you to explore practising it as a part of your life. “Search Inside You” will be a book that I will recommend for those who are keen to get started.

1) Better Focus and Concentration

Mindfulness meditation helps you focus on the present, which can improve your concentration on other tasks in daily life. It also will help you make better decisions. Starting your day with a short meditation session will do wonders to your productivity through the day.

2) Improve Self-Awareness and Self Esteem

Meditation encourages you to slow down. It allows for deeper self-reflection and can help you discover positive attributes about yourself. Even if the whole world abandons you, it is crucial to love yourself no matter what. Only if you are love would miracles be round the corner. When you feel good about yourself, you would also be in a better position to help others.

3) Reduce Stress

Mindfulness meditation can lower the level of cortisol which is the stress hormone. By doing so it helps you to feel more relaxed. It will lead to reduced burnout rate and lessen the immense stress that you are experiencing.

4) Manage Anxiety and Depression

Mindfulness meditation helps train your mind to focus on the present. It makes you less likely to ruminate on anxious thoughts that can fuel depression. You will feel calmer and composed to deal with the adversities that are coming your way.

5) Makes you more Kind and Loving

Loving-kindness meditation can promote compassion for yourself and others. It leads to altruistic behaviour and makes us less self-centred. To start a loving-kindness meditation, you might visualise a loved one in your mind and wish them happiness.

You can then extend that love to yourself and other people in your life. You can use a simple phrase that you silently repeat to yourself, like ‘may you enjoy happiness’ as you hold that person in your mind.

Conclusion

Meditation can have many health benefits, from physical to mental and emotional. If you would like to improve your focus, reduce stress and deal with depression- it is time to start your journey towards wellness through a meditation path.

Till our next post, hope everyone can Stay positive, Contented and Lead a Vibrant life.
